Clarence Johnson and Mayor Slay
  • In October 2003 Clarence received a proclamation from Mayor Slay of St. Louis for the charitable work he did in training for some inner city youths.
 
  • Over 25 years as a computer/network engineer.
  • Over 18 years of training experience at a university level
  • Technical instructor at various universities (UMSL, Washington University, Johnson County Communinity College)
  • Developed over 20 university level technical courses such as: computer networking, computer security, programming, and operating systems.
  • Primary consultant on various large scale design projects such as: Washington University Radiation Oncology, UMSL Microcomputer Center, ECHO, Independence Center, Federal Reserve Bank, and 100 Black Men of Metropolitan St. Louis.
  • Members of many local user groups such as: St. Louis Unix User Group, St. Louis Security Group, Computer Consultants of St. Louis, ByteWorks, and Techies Teaching Techies.
  • Developed computer curriculum for Universities, Junior Colleges, and many non profits organizations.
 

 
  • His background in electrical engineering includes design and development of electronic circuit cards and network design on a variety of systems. He has experience with operating systems (UNIX, BSD,Windows, NetWare, and VMS), programming languages (C, PERL, PHP, SHELL, and Pascal), network equipment (Cisco, 3COM, Bay) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPX, DecNet, and AppleTalk).
  • Clarence has worked for Southwestern Bell as a Unix system administrator/programmer; Emerson Electric as an Electrical Engineer; and UM-St. Louis Microcomputer Program as a Technical Instructor and Network Consultant.
  • Currently Clarence is President of Johnson Consulting Corporation while he designs and develops new technical courses for many of the St. Louis Educational Institutions.
  • Mr. Johnson holds Degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Business.
  • Mr. Johnson also has certifications in Cisco, Linux, and Microsoft.
